Home.

We’re home. I don’t even know where to begin writing about the last three weeks. They were perfect. Perfect.

My good buddy Dr. Seuss once said, “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” That’s how I feel today. I’m tempted to cry because it’s over, but mostly, I can’t help but smile because it happened. I feel rested and refreshed, blissful and content.

I am still sorting through all the thinking, reading, praying, weeping, and journaling I did. Some of that I may share over the next few weeks, but most of it I will keep close to my heart. The last few weeks offered me a fresh perspective on where I’m at in life and ministry. I was able to take a step back and reassess and be re-energized. It was wonderful and I am so grateful for the time we were able to get away.

I have some great stories for you and some beautiful pictures too. I’ll be posting regularly over the next few days, so stay tuned. Here’s a picture to whet your appetite:

Waking up to this view every morning is sure to soothe the soul. . .

So glad to hear that the time away was exactly what it needed to be. I wish we could chat over a cup of coffee. I’d love to hear what you are learning and what God is birthing in you because of it all. God is good! I forget sometimes that He has everything timed perfectly.
