This weekend was our annual church campout. You probably know by now that I am not a fan of camping. The church campout, however, is a little different. Our church is full of fun people who know how to have a good time. The weekend was spent telling stories around the campfire, playing scrabble, eating brownies, going on scavenger hunts, and a whole lot of talking and laughing with my friends.
On Saturday afternoon, the sun came out so we set up a slip-and-slide. But not just any slip-and-slide. Go big or go home, that’s our church motto. So we went big. Check out this get-up:

20 feet wide by 100 feet long:

The kids thought they had died and gone to heaven:

A few overgrown kids got in on the action too:

Walking up that hill wore these kids out!

A fun and memorable weekend indeed! Hope your weekend was a good one!

Hey Vicki, our church retreat was this weekend too and wouldn’t you know we also do a similar, very cool slip and slide. It wasn’t as wide, but looks like it was as long. Adults and kids alike take advantage of it (and who wouldn’t want to?)
So much fun!
